Purpose 
This article explains how Previous Year (PY) figures are automatically displayed within the Current Assessment Year (AY) ITR form in the software. This functionality helps users compare year-on-year data and ensure accurate return preparation.

Feature Overview
The software automatically fetches and displays Previous Year figures when the user opens the Return Flow for the selected Assessment Year. These figures appear across relevant income heads, deductions, and tax liability sections for reference.
This automatic display enables quick comparison and verification without requiring manual entry.

Steps to View Previous Year Figures
Step 1: Open the Client Profile
  1. Select and open the required client profile from the dashboard.
Step 2: Navigate to the Current Assessment Year ITR Form
  1. Open the ITR form for the relevant current Assessment Year.
Step 3: Access Income or Deduction Heads
  1. Navigate to any income head such as:
    1. Salary
    2. House Property
    3. Business/Profession
    4. Capital Gains
    5. Other Sources
      
  1. The system will automatically display the Previous Year figures related to that head.

Where Previous Year Figures Are Displayed
Previous Year data is automatically shown across the following sections:
  1. All Income Heads
  2. Deductions (e.g., Chapter VI-A)
  3. Tax Liability tab
  4. Financial Statements (if applicable)
This ensures consistency, transparency, and ease of review during return preparation.
