Difference Between RRR Number and Receipt Number in TDS
🔹 RRR (Request Reference Number):
- When a TDS Statement/Correction file is uploaded, the TRACES portal generates an RRR Number to track the file upload request.
- This number is used solely for monitoring the status of the request.
🔹 Receipt Number (Token Number):
- Once the TDS Return is successfully filed and processed by NSDL, a Receipt Number is generated.
- This number acts as the official acknowledgment and serves as a unique identifier for the TDS Statement.
Steps to Retrieve the Receipt Number
- Launch the TDS Application and select the appropriate Assessment Year and Quarter.
- Navigate to Master → Submitted Return within the software.

- Enter the required details:
- Date of e-Filing
- Acknowledgement Number (P.R. No.)
- Click the three-dot menu under the Receipt Number column.

- The system will automatically process the request and get the Receipt Number.

This process ensures accurate retrieval of the Receipt Number for TDS filings.
