Taxsuit - LAN Setting

TAXSUIT || LAN Setting or Run Spectrum software on Server First

When opening the TaxSuite software on a LAN machine, if you encounter issues related to LAN settings or receive an error - "Run Spectrum software on Server First".

      

Steps for LAN Setting:

NOTE: Ensure that the SERVER system is accessible from the node (client) system, and that both the server and client systems are on the same network.

On the client system, follow these steps for LAN setup:
  1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\K.D.K. Software\KDK Support.
  2. Open the LAN Setup file.
  3. Click on the EDIT button.
      

Select the SERVER / IP Address by clicking the "Select Server" button (...) next to the Server Name / IP field.
  1. Note: Populating the list of machines in your network might take some time.
      

In the "Microsoft Windows Network" section, select the SERVER system name.

      
  1. Alternatively, you can manually enter the Server Name or Server IP.
  2. Click Save and Exit.
  3. Start the software on the server first, then run it on the LAN system.
By following these steps, you should successfully configure the LAN setup for the client system.


If the Issue Persists:
If the issue continues, follow these steps to copy necessary files into the SERVER Database:
  1. On the SERVER machine, download the attached files.
  2. Extract the files.
  3. Copy all three files and paste them into the folder located at: C:\mysql\data\taxsuit
  4. After completing the steps, restart the software on the SERVER machine.
  5. Then, start the software on the LAN machine again.
By following these instructions, you should be able to resolve the LAN setup issue effectively.
