Salary Income Entry Process in Express ITR

To enter Salary Income in Express ITR, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access ITR Summary
  1. Open the client profile within Express ITR.
  2. In the ITR Summary section, select Return Flow to proceed.
      

Step 2: Open Salary Income Head
  1. Navigate to the Salary Income Head section to enter the salary information.
      

Step 3: Input Employer Details
  1. Select the Employer Type (e.g., Government, PSU, Private, etc.).
      
  1. Enter the employer’s details, including:
    1. Name
    2. TAN
    3. Address
      

Step 4: Enter Gross Salary Details
  1. Under Gross Salary, click the + button to enter detailed income information.
  2. Specify components such as Basic Salary, Allowances and Perquisites received from the employer.
      

Step 5: Enter Exemptions and Deductions
Under Overall Exemptions & Deductions, click the + button to input relevant exemptions:
  1. Exemptions against Allowances and Perquisites
  2. Other eligible exemptions.
      

Following this process ensures accurate and comprehensive entry of salary income for clients in Express ITR.
