Run time error (Automation error)

TDS || Import Challan / Bulk Challan Verification → Run time error (Automation error)

Root Cause of the Error →
  1. This issue mainly occurs when WMI Services are not running properly.
  2. The Time Zone or Regional settings are incorrect on the system.
  3. The .NET Framework is not responding on the system.
Solution →
Follow these steps for a clear resolution:

Check Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Services:
  1. Go to 'Services'.
  2. Check if 'Windows Management Instrumentation' is running.
  3. If it's not running, set the 'Startup Type' to 'Automatic' and the 'Status' to 'Running'.

  1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator:
  2. Type the command: net stop winmgmt and press Enter.
  3. If prompted with "Do you want to continue this operation? (Y/N) [N]:", enter 'Y' and press Enter.

  1. Enter the command: winmgmt /resetrepository and press Enter.

By following these steps, you ensure that the necessary services are running and reset the Windows Management Instrumentation repository, potentially resolving the WMI Service issues.

Set Time Zone and Regional Settings:
  1. To check and set the time zone:
    1. Set Time Zone → "(UTC+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi"
    2. Click "OK" to save the changes.
  2. To set the region format to English (United States):
    1. Go back to the Control Panel.
    2. Click on "Region"
    3. In the Formats tab, select "English (United States)" from the Format drop-down menu.
    4. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save the changes.
  3. To set the short date format to dd/MM/yyyy:
    1. In the same Region window, go to the "Additional settings..." button in the Formats tab.
    2. In the dialog box that opens, go to the "Date" tab.
    3. In the Short date dropdown menu, select "dd/MM/yyyy".
    4. Click "OK" to save the changes.
Check .NET Framework 4.5.2 Installation:
  1. Open the Control Panel on your Windows system.
  2. Navigate to the "Programs" or "Programs and Features" section.
  3. Look for "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2" in the list of installed programs.
    1. If it is listed, it means Dot Net Framework 4.5.2 is installed on your system, and you can proceed with your tasks.
    2. If it is not listed, you need to install Dot Net Framework 4.5.2. You can download it from the official Microsoft website.
  4. To install Dot Net Framework 4.5.2:
    1. Download file: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2
    2. Follow the on-screen instructions to download the installer.
    3. Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the installation wizard.
    4. After the installation is complete, restart your computer if prompted.
  5. After the restart, repeat Step 3 to confirm that "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2" is now listed among your installed programs.

These steps should help you achieve the desired settings on your system.
