Residential Status Selection Process
Follow these steps to set the Residential Status for Resident Indians and Non-Resident Indians in Express ITR:

For Resident Indian
Step 1: Access the ITR Summary
- Open the client profile in Express ITR.
- In the ITR Summary section, click on Return Flow to proceed.
Step 2: Navigate to the E-Filing Option
- Click on the E-Filing option.
Step 3: Set Residential Status
- Select the Residential Status option.
- Choose the appropriate Residential Condition for the client.

For Non-Resident Indian
Step 1: Edit Client Master
- In the Client Master, set the Residential Status to NON-Resident and click on SAVE.
Step 2: Access the ITR Summary
- Open the client’s profile and go to the ITR Summary section.
- Click on Return Flow to proceed.
Step 3: Navigate to the E-Filing Option
- Click on the E-Filing option.
Step 4: Complete Residential Status Details
- Select the Residential Status option.
- Enter the Jurisdiction(s) of residence, Taxpayer Identification Number(s), and other necessary details.
By following these steps, you can accurately set the Residential Status for Resident and Non-Resident clients in Express ITR.
