Process to Update PAN, Name, DOB as Per PAN Database
If you encounter errors while filing returns due to mismatched PAN, Name, or DOB with the PAN database, follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Step 1: Update Details on the Income Tax Portal
- Log In: Log in to the Income Tax Portal using your credentials.
- Access My Profile: Navigate to the My Profile section.
- Update Personal Details:
- Under the Personal Details section, locate the option labeled Click Here.
- Click on this option to review and refresh the profile details.
- Refresh and Confirm:
- Click the Refresh button under the Profile.
- A notification will appear stating: "Details have been successfully updated."
- Click Close and log out of the portal.
Step 2: Sync Details in the Software
- Open Client Profile: Access the relevant client profile in the Express ITR software.
- Sync Data: Click on the Sync Now button to synchronize the updated details with the software.
Step 3: Proceed with E-Filing
- Once the synchronization process is complete, proceed to validate and file the return.
- The return should now be successfully validated without errors.
Note: Ensure the internet connection is stable during the process for seamless updates.
