Steps to Remove Data and Reimport Books Data
If you need to remove GSTR-1 data (both Portal data and Software data) and reimport books data in ExpressGST, follow the steps below:
Remove Portal Data via the GST Portal
To remove data from the GST portal, complete the following steps:
Step 1: Select the Client in Client Master
- Navigate to the Return Summary section.
- Choose the client whose data needs to be downloaded or reset.
Step 2: Select the Month
- Pick the relevant filing month.
Step 3: Choose Due/Overdue Option
- Indicate whether the data is due or overdue based on the books data.
Step 4: Log in to the GST Portal
- Click on Login to GST Portal and navigate to the return details.
Step 5: Click on the Reset Option
- Select the correct return and click Reset to remove the data from the GST portal.
Step 6: Log Out of the GST Portal
- After resetting the data, log out from the portal.
Remove Data from ExpressGST
Step 1: Start the Sync Process
- After resetting the portal data, click on the Sync option in ExpressGST to start updating the system.
Step 2: Wait for Sync Completion
- Allow the synchronization process to complete. This will ensure all outdated data is removed.
Note: The process may take some time.
Reimport Books Data into ExpressGST
Step 1: Reimport Correct Books Data
- Use the Import Books Data feature in ExpressGST to upload the corrected data.
Step 2: Ensure Proper Details
- Double-check that the correct client and month details are selected during the reimport process.
By following this process, you can successfully reset the data and re-import books data into ExpressGST.
