Income Tax || Process to file Form 10E

Filing Process for Form 10E:

Step 1: Access the 'Transaction' tab and choose 'Salary Income'.

      

Step 2: Complete the details regarding the Employer and save.

      

Step 3: Specify the type of Basic option and provide the Basic Salary details.

      

Step 4: Proceed to the 'Transaction' tab and select 'Relief u/s 89(1)'.

      

Step 5: Enter income details on this page.

      

Note: If arrears were received before Assessment Year (AY) 1991-1992, aggregate the amount in the 1991-1992 column.

Step 6: Arrear Salary will be automatically updated under Transaction → Salary income → Profit in lieu of salary u/s 17(3).

      

Step 7: Arrear salary will be displayed automatically from Relief u/s 89(1).

      

Note: To ensure automatic updating of arrears in the salary head for the current year, refrain from selecting the checkbox labeled 'Do not update arrear amount in Salary Detail'.

      

Step 8: To compute using Form 10E, select 'Calculate & Print Arrears'.

      

Arrears salary calculations will be depicted.

      

Step 9: Relief under section 89(1) will be exhibited.

      

Step 10: Post verification of the Data and Calculations, proceed to 'E-Filing for Form 10E' to submit the form.

            

Step 11: Upon completion, you will be redirected to the portal to fill out the Form online. After filling out the form, carefully review the entered data and proceed to file and verify the submission.
