Standard Procedure to Generate a Yahoo App Password
- Log in to Yahoo Mail - Open Yahoo Mail and sign in using your registered Yahoo account credentials.
- Access Account Information - Click on the Profile icon in the top-right corner of the page and select Manage Your Account.

- Open Account Security Settings - From the Account Information page, navigate to the Account Security section.

- Enable Two-Step Verification (Mandatory Requirement)
- App password generation is available only when Two-Step Verification is enabled.
- If not already enabled, complete the verification setup by following the on-screen instructions.

- Navigate to App Password Management - Scroll down to External Connections or Other Ways to Sign In, then select Generate App Password or Manage App Passwords.

- Define the Application Name - Enter an appropriate and identifiable name for the application (e.g., Application name, Outlook Desktop, Mobile Mail Client), then click Generate.

- Securely Copy the App Password - A unique 16-character app password will be displayed. Copy and securely store this password immediately, as it will not be displayed again.

- Authenticate Using the App Password - When configuring the third-party email client or application, use the generated app password in place of your regular Yahoo account password.
- Finalize the Process - Select Done to complete the app password generation process.
