Force Close: If the program is unresponsive or won't close normally, try force closing it. On Windows, open the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc), find the Adobe Acrobat process, and select "End Task."

Restart Acrobat: Close Acrobat completely and then reopen it. Sometimes, simply restarting the program can resolve minor issues.

Update Acrobat: Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat installed. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could resolve the error you're encountering.

Repair Acrobat Installation: Some errors can be caused by issues with the Acrobat installation. You can try repairing the installation by going to Control Panel (Windows), finding Adobe Acrobat in the list of installed programs, and selecting the option to repair or uninstall/reinstall.

Adjust Security Settings:
  1. Open any PDF file.
  2. Open Preferences (Ctrl+K) from the Menu Bar.

    1. Sandbox Protections → "Enable Protected Mode at Startup"
    2. Enhanced Security → "Enable Enhanced Security"
      
  1. Click OK to save the changes.
  2. Restart the application and check if the issue is resolved.
If the problem persists, you may need to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader from your machine.
