Each of these major heads is further subdivided into five minor heads: Tax, Interest, Penalty, Fee, and Others.
This structure allows taxpayers to track payments or deposits comprehensively across all applicable categories.

    1. This section displays all liabilities accrued from returns. It also shows payments made using the Electronic Cash Ledger and/or credit utilized to discharge these liabilities. Additionally, liabilities related to GST CMP-03, GST ITC-03, and GST REG-16 are recorded in this part.
  2. Part II: Other than Return-Related Liabilities
    1. This section includes liabilities not associated with returns. Similar to Part I, it displays payments made through the Electronic Cash Ledger and/or credit utilized to settle these liabilities. All liabilities not covered under Part I are accounted for in Part II.

4. Electronic Credit Reversal and Reclaimed Ledger

The Electronic Credit Reversed and Reclaimed Statement (ECRS), introduced by the GST Network, enables taxpayers to track the balance of Input Tax Credit (ITC) that has been temporarily reversed and later reclaimed. Accessible through the ExpressGST portal, this statement allows taxpayers to report and validate reversals and reclaims effectively. This helps ensure compliance with GST regulations and minimizes errors in ITC management.
