Zen IT || JSON Generation Error → Tenant Details Missing or Zero

JSON Generation Error:

 1. String '' is less than minimum length of 1. Path 'ITR.ITR2.ScheduleHP.PropertyDetails[1].TenantDetails[0].NameofTenant', line 109, position 18.

Solution:

This type of error occurs in two different scenarios:

1. When an unnecessary head is created in Self-Occupied House Property.
2. When mandatory details are missing in the House Property head.

1. When an unnecessary head is created in Self-Occupied House Property.

Step 1:

Go to Transaction, then click on the House Property Income head.

Step 2:

Click on Self Occupied Property Button:

Step 3:

Now, click on the Edit button and check the data. If it is marked as Not Applicable or left blank, you need to delete this head by clicking on the Delete button.

After removing this head, re-generate the JSON file, and the problem will be resolved.

Note: The error occurs when selecting the 'House Property' section.

• If the details were entered in the previous year, the software prompts a message asking whether to import House Property details.
• If the user clicks "Yes", the software creates the head under either 'Self-Occupied' or 'Let Out' (based on the previous year’s details). However, only the address and property details are imported, while financial amounts are not.
• If the user does not want to import the details for the current year, they can click "No" when prompted, and the process will continue without importing the data.

2. When Mandatory details are missing in the House Property head.

Step 1:

Go to Transaction, then click on the House Property Income head.

Step 2:

1. Select the Let Out House Property.

2. Click on Edit Button.

3. Enter the Tenant Details Like (Name, PAN, Aadhaar Number, More then One Tenant Details etc.).

After Feeding the Details in this head, re-generate the JSON file, and the problem will be resolved.
