Form 10B or 10BB → Invalid Metadata Error While Uploading


While filing Form 10B/10BB, you may encounter an "Invalid Metadata Error". Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

Membership Number:
 Go to Master >>Consultant Master >> Select Consultant:

  1. Select the Consultant Which is Selected In Transaction >> Auditor Information.
  2. Check that the Firm Registration Number is exactly 8 digits. If it’s shorter, prefix it with zeros.
  3. Enter the Chartered Accountant's Membership Number. It Should be 6 Digit.
      

Notes
Check the Chartered Accountant's membership number that you have entered in the software and ensure it matches the ITD login details used for uploading the audit report. Both should be the same in the portal and the software.
InfoTaxpayer's PAN:
Check the taxpayer's PAN for which you are uploading the tax audit. It should match the PAN associated with the CA login used to upload the tax audit. Both should be the same.

Form Type:
If you have prepared Form 10B/10BB in the software, ensure that you have appointed the same Form 10B/10BB in the CA appointment. Both should match. Additionally, verify that the form type in the CA login used for uploading is the same. 
InfoAssessment year:
If you are filing a form for AY 2024-2025, ensure that the Assessment Year (AY) in the CA login used to upload the tax audit form matches the AY in the software. Both should be the same on the portal and in the software.

Confirm that the CA Profile on the Income Tax Portal is updated and accurate.
