To import GSTR-2 book data via an Excel sheet into Express GST, follow these steps:

Click on the client for whom you want to import the GSTR-2 book data. This will navigate you to the Return Summary page.

Step 1: On the Return Summary page, locate the Import Books Data button on the left-hand side.

      

Step 2: Click the Import Books Data button. A wizard will open, allowing you to select the GSTR-2 book data Excel file to be imported.

      
      
Step 3: Select GSTR-2 Book Data File:
  1. Under Purchase GSTR-2, select the relevant month and year (e.g., September 2024).
  2. Click the Browse button to select the GSTR-2 book data Excel file from your computer.
  3. Click Open to upload the selected file.
            

Step 4: After uploading the file, click Import to begin the data import process.

      

Step 5: A window will appear showing the import status of the GSTR-2 book data.
Step 6: Once the data import is complete, click OK. The GSTR-2 book data will now be available on the Express GST portal.

      

Step 7: In the Books vs 2A/2B Annual section, select the specific month and year for which the GSTR-2 book data was imported and click View. This will display the imported data for reconciliation.

This completes the process of importing GSTR-2 book data into Express GST. By following these steps, you ensure accurate filing and reconciliation of your purchase data.
