To import GSTR-1 books data via an Excel sheet into Express GST, follow these steps:

Choose the client for whom you want to import the GSTR-1 book data by clicking on the client’s name. This will take you to the Return Summary page.

Step 1: The Return Summary page provides a list of all types of GSTR filings. On this page, locate the Import Books Data button on the extreme left-hand side.

      

Step 2: Click the Import Books Data button to launch a wizard where you can select the GSTR-1 book data Excel file for upload.

      
Step 3: Select GSTR-1 Book Data File:
  1. Under Sales GSTR-1, select the relevant month and year for which you want to import data (e.g., September 2024).
  2. Click the Browse button next to the month and select the GSTR-1 book data Excel file from your computer.
  3. Click Open to upload the selected file to the Express GST portal.
            
Step 4: Once the file is uploaded, click the Import button to begin the data import process.

      

Step 5: A window will appear showing the import status of the GSTR-1 book data.
Step 6: After the data import is complete, click OK to finalize the process. The successfully imported GSTR-1 book data will now be visible on the Express GST portal.
