ExpressTDS || Raise Request / Submit Request

In ExpressTDS, the Raise Request feature allows users to submit formal queries or requests for assistance related to their TDS filing activities. This can include downloading specific forms, certificates, or resolving issues with TDS filings.
A standout feature of ExpressTDS is its ability to streamline the request process by allowing users to request multiple items, such as the Consolidated File, Justification Report, and Bulk Form 16A, for a specific financial year and quarter with a single click. This simplifies the task of gathering essential documents and reports, significantly reducing the time and effort required to manage TDS compliance and reporting.

Steps to Raise a New Request in ExpressTDS:

Step 1: Access the ExpressTDS portal using your username and password. After logging in, the Deductor Master page will display a list of all deductors associated with your account.

      

Step 2: Click on the name of the deductor for whom you wish to raise a request. This will open the Deductor's profile page.
Step 3: Scroll down the Deductor’s page to find the "View all the Raised Requests" section.

      

Step 4: Select "View All Raised Requests" to display the list of submitted requests to TRACES. Then, click "Submit Request" to initiate a new request.

      
Step 5: Select Request Type and Proceed.
  1. Request For: Choose the specific form type you want to request (e.g., Bulk Form 16).
  2. Form Type: Select the appropriate form (e.g., Form 24Q).
  3. Financial Year: Specify the relevant financial year (e.g., 2023-24).
  4. Quarter: Select the quarter of the financial year (e.g., Q4).
      

Step 6: You can submit the request using one of three methods:
  1. Using TRACES Form (if return is filed via ExpressTDS),
  2. Using TRACES Form (Manual Data entry),
  3. Using FVU/TXT Import (if the return was filed via another software)

Using TRACES Form (if return is filed via ExpressTDS):
  1. The system auto-fetches challan details, deductee transactions, and token numbers if the TDS return was filed through ExpressTDS.
      
  1. Click Proceed to continue.
  2. A captcha window will appear. Enter the captcha code and click Proceed to confirm the request.
      

Using TRACES Form (Manual Data entry):
  1. Manually input the challan details, deductee transactions, and token number. The token number can be found in the TDS return acknowledgment receipt (RRR number). Make sure to correctly enter the Deductor TAN, Financial Year, and Quarter when entering the token number.
  2. Input the BSR Code, Date of Deposit, Challan Number, Challan Amount, PAN of Deductee, and Tax Deducted amount.
  3. Click Proceed after entering the information.

Using FVU Import (if the return was filed via another software):
  1. If you have an TXT file from another software, select Using FVU Import to autofill the challan and deductee details.
      
  1. Click Browse to upload the TXT file and then click Proceed to import the data.

Once all details are entered, and the process is completed, your request is successfully raised for downloading forms from TRACES.
