How to Compare GSTR-1 Books vs R1 Data Using ExpressGST

Step 1: Select the Client

  • Log in to ExpressGST and go to the Client List.
  • Select the client whose GSTR-1 data you wish to compare.
  • You will be directed to the Return Summary page for the selected client.

Step 2: Access the Import Books Data Feature

  • On the Return Summary page, locate and click the Import Books Data button on the left side of the screen to open the import wizard.
      

Step 3: Import GSTR-1 Book Data

  • Click on Import Book Data.
      
  • In the pop-up window, click Browse Files to locate and select the GSTR-1 book data Excel file from your system, then click Open.
      

Step 4: Upload the Data

  • Click Import to upload the selected file.
      
  • A confirmation window will appear, displaying the imported GSTR-1 data. Click Okay to proceed.

Step 5: Select Books vs GSTR-1 Comparison

  • On the main menu, select Books vs R1 Annual.
      
  • Choose the desired period and select the Section-wise Matching option.
      

NotesMatching Options: For enhanced clarity, use filters such as Matched, Partially Matched, In Books Only, and In R1 Only. You can also view a summary for a comprehensive overview.

      
      

Step 6: Download the Report

  • To download the report, click on Back to Matching Summary.
  • Select the Excel option to download the report in Excel format.
      

This streamlined approach helps you efficiently compare and analyze GSTR-1 data in alignment with accounting records.
