What is Trial balance
A trial balance is a financial report used in accounting to ensure that the total of all debit balances equals the total of all credit balances. It’s a preliminary step in preparing financial statements and helps to identify any discrepancies or errors in the recording of financial transactions.
How to Export Trial Balance and List of Account XML Files From Tally Prime:
Follow below steps to download Trial Balance and List of Accounts from Tally:
Trial Balance File (For CY & PY):
Go to Tally Prime --> Gateway of tally --> Display More Reports --> Trial Balance --> Press F5 --> Press ALT+E --> Current --> C(Configure) --> File Format (XML Data Interchange)>>Click Send Button.
List of Accounts
Go to Tally Prime-->Gateway of tally-->Display More Reports-->Trial Balance-->Press Alt+E-->Masters-->C(Configure)-->File Format(XML Data Interchange)>>Click Send Button.
How to Import the Exported XML Files in Express ITR:
Step 1:
Go to Business and Profession Head:
Step 2:
Click on Add Business Button:
Step 3:
Select the business type and mention the details related to business and click on Done or Press Esc button:
Step 4:
Click on the Import button:
Step 5:
Select Trial balance and master XML file from location:
Step 6:
After selecting the file now click on Import Button:
Now Trial balance data imported into the software.
