ExpressITR || How to Delete Client or Active/Inactive Client

1. Client Deletion Process

The Client Deletion feature in Express ITR allows users to permanently remove a client from the system. Once deleted, the client will no longer appear in the dashboard, client list, or any other section within the application.
Steps to Delete a Client

Step 1: Access the Client Profile
  1. Log in to Express ITR and go to the Client List.
  2. Click Edit Details button under the Actions column for the desired client.
      

Step 2: Delete the Client
  1. Inside the client’s profile, locate the Delete Client option.



  2. Click Proceed and confirm the prompt.



  3. A confirmation message will appear: “Data Deleted Successfully.”
      

Note: After deletion, the client is permanently removed from the software and cannot be restored.

2. How to Inactive a Client

Inactive/Deactivating a client temporarily removes them from the active client list on the dashboard. Only active clients will be displayed after deactivation.
Steps to Deactivate a Client

Step 1: Access the Client Profile
  1. Log in to Express ITR and go to the Client List.
  2. Click Edit Details button under the Actions column for the desired client.
Step 2: Change Client Status
  1. In the client’s profile, locate the Active / Inactive toggle.
  2. Switch the status from Active to Inactive.



  3. Click Save to apply the change.
      

Note: Inactive clients will no longer appear in your active client list.

3. How to Re-active a Client

Reactivating a client restores their visibility in the active client list. This is useful when you need to work again with a previously inactive client.
Steps to Reactivate a Client

Step 1: Locate the Inactive Client
  1. From the Client List, apply the "All" filter.



  2. Search for the client using their Name, PAN, Mobile Number, or Email ID.



  3. Once found, click Edit Details button under the Actions column.
      

Step 2: Update Client Status
  1. In the client’s profile, switch the status from Inactive to Active.



  2. Click Save to finalize the update.
      

Note: Once reactivated, the client will reappear in your active client list.
