eXBace || LAN installation and LAN setting


eXBace software is a multi-user software which can be used on more than one system.  User can use single login credentials to login or can purchase user add-on’s with one being the “Administrator Account”. The details of License and Sub user are available in the Administrator login.
Log in with administrator Account → Settings → License Details.

      


IF the user has purchased Sub user, he can manage the login details using option menu provided under Settings → Manage User.
If the user has not purchased sub user, as soon as he clicks on Settings  Manage User, the message would appear as below:

“This feature is not available in this edition. If you wish to use this feature then you will have to Migrate/Register your license version.”

      

LAN settings for eXBace:

Note: - eXBace be either online or offline, there is no requirement to install the software on LAN / Node PC.

eXBace SaaS:-

Directly login using login credential of sub-user using any browser.
      

eXBace Offline / On-Premises: 

To execute the software on LAN system, there would be requirement of server Name or Server IP Address.

IP Address process:

Open Command Window:

Press the Windows and keys on the keyboard at the same time, you can see a small window as below pop up, then enter “cmd” into the field. Press enter to open the command prompt.

      

OR

Click on the Windows button on the bottom left of your screen, then start typing “cmd into the "Start search" box on the bottom near the button, Click on the “cmd under programs to open the command prompt.



      

Type “ipconfig” and press enter

This will display a list of your network connection information. Near the top of the list, look for “IPv4 Address” under either Wireless Network
Connection or Local Area Connection (depending on if your computer is using Wi-Fi or not).

      

System Name:


Right-click on Computer → Properties→ Computer Name.
OR 
Control Panel → All Control Panel Items → System

      


Once the Server details are known, The LAN configuration is as below:

  1. First, open the software eXBace on the Server system. 
  2. Then copy the URL that is being used on the server.
  3. http://localhost/eXBace/login.aspx
      


  1. On the LAN system, right click on desktop and go to New >> Shortcut.
  2. Paste the url copied with changes as localhost to be replaced with server name or server IP Address. 
  3. Then click on Next and name the short as eXBace LAN and Finish.

      

  1. Once the shortcut is created on LAN system, run the software using the shortcut.
  2. The software will run on the default browser set on the system.
      


Using the login credentials login and then use the software.
