eXBace || Data import and export through excel

To reduce complications of data entry In eXBace software, a facility has been provided where the user can import data through excel and can export data in excel. The User can also validate every sheet where the data is entered at the same time.

The process below explains Data import and export through excel in eXBace software.

Step 1: Open the eXBace software, Go to Tools --> Import --> Excel Import

Step 2:  Here the user can download the excel template and the Support file.

Note: The support files help in communication between the excel sheet and eXBace application. So it is a one-time requirement to download the Support file and installing it.

Step 3: Now, run the Support File as Administrator (MSSoap.exe)

Step 4: Now, open the excel template which was downloaded in the previous step.

Note: It is mandatory to import company master-detail through the application as the user cannot enter detail manually in this sheet.
So, it becomes mandatory to create company master in the eXBace application.

To Create the company master, open eXBace software --> Master --> Company Master --> Add Company.
Enter the CIN --> Prefill --> enter all the mandatory details and save the company master.

For importing Company information, Right-click on the sheet and select option "Get Data from Application"

* Mention Application type (SaaS - eXBace software online on www.exbace.com web server

* For On-premises software do click on "Verify URL" before proceeding.

* Enter CIN Number which information to import
* Select Sheet (Active sheet)

This will import the Company Master from the application.

Step 5: Once the data for other sheets are entered, User should validate the sheet before uploading the detail on the application.
The sheet validated successfully will only get imported properly in the software.  So, it becomes mandatory to validate every sheet successfully and remove errors if any during validation.

Step 6:  For uploading the data on the application, Right-click on the sheet and select option,  "Upload Data in application"

* Mention Application type (SaaS - eXBace software online on www.exbace.com web server
or Local Server >> On-Premise - Install application on the system as http://localhost/exbace)
* For On-premises software do click on "Verify URL" before proceeding.
* Mention login credentials
* Enter CIN Number which information to import
* Select Sheet (Active sheet / All Sheets)

 After completing the  above process , data will be uploaded on the application.

A single template is used for both the operations, Importing data from excel and exporting data to excel.
The option Get Data from Application, exports the data from the application to the excel sheet.
The option Upload data to Application, exports the data from an excel sheet to the application.

Hope this helps.
