Enable Third-Party App Installation from Settings

Both Windows 10 and 11 offer a security feature that allows users to control the installation of applications from sources other than the official Microsoft Store. While this feature is typically disabled by default, it's possible that it has been configured on your system.

1. To adjust this setting, begin by pressing the "Windows + I"  keys simultaneously to open the Settings menu. From there, navigate to the "Apps" section.
   
2. Within the Apps settings, locate and select "Apps & features". If you're using Windows 10, you'll find this option under the "Apps" subsection.
   

      

1. Once in the "Apps & features" menu, scroll down until you find the "Choose where to get apps" section. This is where you can control the installation source for your applications.
   

      

1. Click on the drop-down menu within the "Choose where to get apps" section. From the options provided, select "Anywhere". This choice will allow you to install applications from sources other than the Microsoft Store.
   

By following these steps, you can adjust your Windows settings to permit the installation of applications from various sources, providing you with greater flexibility in software selection and installation.
