The Client Deletion feature in ExpressGST enables users to permanently remove a client from the system. After deletion, the client will no longer appear in the Dashboard, Client Master list, or any other module within the application.
Steps to Delete a Client
Step 1: Open the Client Profile
- Log in to ExpressGST and navigate to the Client List.
- Click the Edit option under the Action column for the client you intend to delete.
Step 2: Delete the Client
- Within the client’s profile, locate the Delete Company button.
- Click Proceed, and confirm the deletion when the confirmation prompt appears.
- A success message will be displayed: “Data Deleted Successfully.”
Important Note:
Once a client is deleted, the data is permanently removed from the software and cannot be recovered. Please ensure you verify the details before proceeding with deletion.
Process to Make a company Inactive in ExpressGST:
The Inactive state signifies that a client's profile is no longer actively involved in GST transactions or operations. An inactive client will not appear in the active client list but can be accessed if needed.
Step 1: Access the portal using your username and password. This will open the Client Master page, displaying all active clients.
Step 2: To make a client inactive, click the Edit button next to the desired client. This opens the client's profile.
Step 3: In the profile, toggle the Active button to change the status to Inactive.
Step 4: Click Save to confirm the status change.
The client is now inactive and will no longer appear in the active client list. Instead, you can search for them under the All tab.
Process to Active a company in ExpressGST:
In ExpressGST, the Active status in the Company Master indicates that a client's profile is currently active and available for GST transactions.
Step 1: Access the portal using your username and password. Navigate to the Client Master page, then click the All tab to view both active and inactive companies.
Step 2: To find an inactive client, enter the GSTIN number in the search box and press Enter.
Step 3: In the search results, click the Edit button for the client you want to reactivate. This will open the client profile.
Step 4: Toggle the Inactive button to switch the client’s status to Active.
Step 5: Click Save to confirm the status change. The client will now appear in the active client list and be available for GST transactions.
By following these steps, you can successfully update a client company profile's status between active and inactive based on your business requirements. This functionality allows flexible management of client profiles without permanently deleting them.
