This guide outlines the steps to calculate and pay Advance Tax using the Express ITR software.

Step 1: Log In
  1. Log in to your Express ITR account at "https://www.expressitr.com".
Step 2: Select Client
  1. Open the client profile for whom you wish to calculate Advance Tax.
Step 3: Access the Calculator
  1. Click on the Advance Tax Calculator button located at the top-right corner of the screen.
      
Step 4: Auto-Fill Income (Optional)
  1. To calculate Advance Tax based on the previous year’s income, click on Auto-fill from P.Y. Income.
      

Step 5: Enter Estimated Income
  1. You may also manually enter estimated income in the Estimated Income column.
  2. To add details for specific income types such as Dividends, Lottery Winnings, Crossword Puzzle Winnings, Capital Gains, or Deductions, click the ‘+’ icon on the left side and input the relevant information.
      

Step 6: Calculate Advance Tax
  1. Once all income details have been entered, click on Advance Tax: Calculate & Pay.
      
  1. The system will display a quarterly income breakdown along with the details of Advance Tax payable and any amounts already paid.
Step 7: Include Interest Under Section 234C (If Applicable)
  1. If the Advance Tax installment is overdue and interest under Section 234C is applicable, enable the With 234C Interest option. The software will automatically compute the interest liability.
      

Step 8: Make Payment
  1. Click on the Pay Now button.
      
  1. Select your preferred payment method, and click Pay Now again to proceed. You will be redirected to the official Income Tax Portal to complete the payment.
